Hello!
I’m Cole Borgia, an educator and photographer born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently based in San Jose, California. At this time, I'm nearing completion of a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San José State University. I grew up attending schools in the Saratoga Union School District (SUSD) and graduated from Los Gatos High School in 2019, and since then have learned to love working with students and in the education system. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, being behind my camera, and in the company of my friends who keep me moving!
Before entering the classroom as a student teacher in the Fall of 2025, I spent nearly ten years supporting various elementary school communities, both in the classroom and in the school office, in several different roles; each one deepened my understanding of what it takes to support students, both inside and outside the classroom. I worked closely with teachers and administrators to support daily instruction, coordinate schoolwide programs, strengthen family partnerships, and ensure classrooms had the tools and systems they needed to function smoothly. I’ve seen firsthand how much thoughtful planning, collaboration, and behind-the-scenes work goes into creating environments where students can thrive, and how meaningful those environments can be when adults work together with shared purpose.
